SURF CITY PHOTO STARRING YOU!

You can be a part of photo history… while checking out some cool bikinis and boardshorts.
 
Thousands of surfers and ocean enthusiasts will plant their surfboards in the sand Saturday at 10 a.m. next to the Huntington Beach Pier for an epic photo shoot in Transworld SURF Magazine.
 
Join surfing legend “PT” Townend and Courtney Conlogue (pictured above) at the inaugural event that honors surfing culture and supports the preservation of the coast.
 
A portion of proceeds will benefit Orange County Coastkeeper and the Surfrider Foundation.
 
And get this, it costs just $10 to join the cause. Pre-register online by Thursday and you’ll receive a free commemorative Rip Curl t-shirt (valued at $25) and a one-year subscription to TransWorld SURF Magazine (newsstand value of $14.95), and a souvenir “Surfboards in the Sand 9.19.09 wristband.
 
  The event will also feature live entertainment, autograph signings, giveaways, and special discounts on Main Street in downtown Huntington Beach.

Also on Saturday, it’s OC Coastal Clean-up Day from 9 a.m. to noon at Bolsa Chica State Beach, in Huntington Beach. Volunteers for the Coastal Clean-up effort can take advantage of the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa exclusive spa promotion.
